The image of the dog I found when someone asked if there was a dog who looked like Russell Crowe. But it was from a site where there were pictures of dogs in need of adoption alongside their favourite belongings, photographed separately. I was also looking at evacuee images at the time, while thinking about darker and more current situations with displaced children. Is my art light or is it heavy, I don’t know, maybe it exists in an open sort of space and catches emotional currents.
