This painting probably dates back to about 2002. It’s oil paint on 10 × 8 inch dalerboard.
I used to really like the early MMORPG EverQuest, and the way the corpses curled up. This ogre has the face of Legolas/Orlando Bloom in lord of the rings, and expresses some of the expansive imagination, hope and joy I felt when I was young. Even if there’s an inevitable melancholy about it.
